Job Description: Power Plant Operations Human Resources Manager
Position Overview:
The Power Plant Operations Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources activities within the power plant operations department. This role focuses on managing the recruitment, training, performance evaluation, employee relations, and compliance functions for the power plant operations team. The Human Resources Manager collaborates with the leadership team to ensure effective HR practices align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures for the power plant operations department in alignment with the company's overall HR framework.
2. Oversee the recruitment and selection process for power plant operations positions, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
3. Manage the onboarding and orientation process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
4. Conduct performance management activities, including setting performance goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching and feedback to power plant operations employees.
5. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of power plant operations employees, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
6. Address employee relations matters, investigating and resolving conflicts or grievances in a fair and timely manner.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies, and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
8. Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee morale within the power plant operations department.
9. Maintain accurate HR records, including employee data, performance evaluations, training records, and disciplinary actions.
10. Provide guidance and support to power plant operations supervisors and managers regarding HR practices, employee issues, and performance management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations and performance management.
3. Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
4. Proven experience in recruitment and selection processes, including candidate sourcing, interviewing techniques, and applicant tracking systems.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
6. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and HR best practices.
8. Proficient in using HR information systems and software applications.
9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
